TP 28 : Lady in a face veil in the hospital out patients. The reluctance to uncover the face did cause some anxieties when giving an anaesthetic. A “butterfly needle” in the arm for induction was followed by a swift removal of the face coverings with the hope that there would not be any insurmountable challenges to intubation. Statistically success was on our side but all the same it was a relief to establish an unobstructed airway.
