About Bill de Bass Dr Bill de Bass was educated at Stonyhurst College in Lancashire and qualified in medicine from University College Hospital Medical School in 1966. He joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and was Regimental Medical Officer to the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery for two years. He then trained as an anaesthetist at QAMH Millbank before being posted to BMH Rinteln for four years. It was during this posting that he was detached to 55FST for six months. Soon after he spent six months in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before leaving the army and entering General Practice in Norfolk. After twenty five years of General Practice he worked entirely in the field of Occupational Health and wished that he had done so earlier in his career.
